Women painting in forest, c. 1900
Title
Women painting in forest, c. 1900
Subject
Description
A group of women, including B E. McCarty, painting in a forest. They were most likely using oil paint, which was the dominant medium of the time. The cabinet card was possibly sourced by Chas. T. McCarty, most likely referring to Charles T. McCarty, who grew pineapples in the 1880's in Fort Pierce before being shot January 30, 1907 by W. C. Rawlinson over a property dispute.
